FAMILY FRIENDS NEWSLETTER-
March has always seemed a ‘quiet’ month to me, full of anticipated happenings both of a physical and of a spiritual sense. So, it seemed very logical to pull out the large assortment of Religious, Spiritual and Inspirational books that we have collected for both adults and children. We have nestled them onto a bookshelf inside our Bookstore and will restock frequently. Please pass the word along about this great opportunity. Many of the books are written by very well known authors in this field, in addition to many Bibles of various types.
Our crafts book sale last month went splendidly with only a few books/pamphlets mainly on quilting remaining. Thanks for picking these up!
Our adult authors focus for the month will include: Harlan Coben (one of my favorite authors), Barbara Delinsky (Romance), Wanda Brunssetter (Amish-themed), & Charlaine Harris (and her Sookie Stackhouse series). I had no idea what a large following there is for this series about Sookie as she tries to solve mysteries involving vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural creatures. As a matter of fact, the popular TV series True Blood is based on these books. We are lucky to have (at least for now) the entire series inside a large Bookstore basket! As an added feature, we also have the first five seasons of the True Blood TV shows.
Young readers who enjoy The Babysitters Club books will love it that we are selling the entire collection (lots!) at 4/$1.00.
Something to think about, we have received a huge collection of LPs (long playing vinyls), numbering roughly about 500. We haven’t definitely decided how to sell these or when, but would appreciate any thoughts you might have regarding our selling them. The vast collection is from the 50’s on…
If you are looking for a good movie to watch you’ll appreciate that we have expanded our offerings. Look on the top two shelves of the adjacent book shelving unit for new choices. At $3.00 each you cannot go wrong.
