The Billerica Public Library and the Family Friends of the Billerica Public Library appreciate the community’s support in keeping the Bookstore and annual book sale stocked with appealing materials. Funds raised by the Bookstore directly support Billerica Public Library programs, museum passes, movie licensing, and more.
Making a Donation
You may make a donation of no more than three (3) boxes/bags at the library’s circulation desk Monday-Friday during the library’s normal operating hours.
If you wish to make a larger donation, please contact Sharon Lomison at slomison@billericalibrary.org or at 978-671-0949 ext. 4114. She will put you in touch with the Friends Board to discuss your planned donation.
Items We Accept
We gladly accept the following items provided they are not wet, mildewed, musty, water damaged, soiled, or in otherwise poor condition and that they were not stored in an attic or basement.
- Books:
- Hardcover fiction
- Works by popular authors
- Children’s books
- Works of classic literature
- Paperbacks with covers
- Non-fiction, including subjects such as art, music, gardening, cooking, how-to, sports, computers, biographies, health, and self-help
- Book sets that are current and complete
- DVDs
- Music CDs
- Audiobooks
Items We Cannot Accept
We cannot accept the following, as they do not sell well:
- Magazines
- Textbooks
- Records, VHS tapes
- Audiobooks on cassette
- Discards from other libraries
- Reader’s Digest Condensed books
When in doubt, consider that if you would not give it to a friend, please don’t give it to the Family Friends!
