Our program room will be open with age-appropriate toys and music so you can meet other children and adults!   Siblings welcome

Feel free to drop in and play (no registration required)!  Families will receive a complimentary, brand-new board book to take home and read with your child!  (one per family/caregiver)

Buzz Boy and Fly Guy! (Books Alive With Salem Five) Ages 5-9

"Ocean of Possibilities" Virtual/In-person (HYBRID) interactive Music and Dance show with Mr. Matt

Enjoy this energetic and exciting HYBRID program where you can participate from home virtually ….or join other children in our meeting room to dance along!  Either way–you are sure to have lots of fun!

Mr. Matt from Turtle Dance Music offers this exciting program which features wonderful classic and original children’s songs and tales about being under the sea! The show engages children with songs, comedy, bubbles, and music technology. We will also discuss why it is important to keep our oceans clean and how to protect our oceans from harmful things like microplastics.  Kids will dance, sing, laugh, use their imaginations and connect with new friends. The show is crafted to be inclusive for all children, including children on the Autism Spectrum, and a great time for parents and teachers!   “Turtle Dance Music helps kids come out of their shell!”

Treehouse Treasure Club: Buffalo Before Breakfast (grades K-4)

For grades K-4

For this month’s program we will be reading, “Buffalo Before Breakfast” by Mary Pope Osborne. Travel with Jack and Annie as the Magic Tree House
takes them to the Great Plains where they learn about the life of the Lakota Indians.

Online, required registration starts Saturday, April 6 at 9:00 a.m. and participants can pick up the book starting that day as well. Reading with Rudy, the Therapy Dog (ages 5-9)

Saturday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m.

Come to the library to read to Rudy, a certified reading therapy dog!  Children, ages 5-9, will enjoy one-on-one time reading aloud to this gentle, comforting, 4-year old Black Lab as they practice their fluency and strengthen their confidence in reading.

Children may bring their own book from home or choose to read one from the library collection.

Online, required registration starts Monday, April 29 at 9:00 a.m. Space is limited.  Please choose one, 15-minute block for your child to read to Rudy.
