Do you have any yearbooks?

Yes. We have a collection of yearbooks from the Howe High School, the Billerica Memorial High School, and the Shawsheen Technical High School. Some can be viewed online in the Local History’s Virtual Collection https://archive.org/details/billericapubliclibrary. For assistance you may also contact our Reference Desk at rdesk@billericalibrary.org or (978) 671-0949 ext. 4.

Is the library accepting book donations?

The Family Friends are accepting donations. Donations can be dropped off at the circulation desk whenever the library is open. Please limit donations to three bags or boxes; if you wish to make a larger donation, please contact Sharon Lomison at (978) 671-0949 ext. 4113. She will put you in touch with a Family Friends board member to discuss your planned donation.

Does the library provide notary services?

We are no longer providing notary services, but the Town Clerk’s Office provides notary services for a small fee. For more information, you can call them at (978) 671-0924. You may also contact your local bank to see if they are providing this service.

I would like to use the e-resources but I don’t know how to get started?

We can help you! First, check out our video tutorials on the side of every one of our webpages to learn how to use our most popular e-resources. If you are still having trouble, give us a call at (978) 671-0948 ext. 4, use our chat feature, fill out one of the forms below, or send us an email to reference@billericalibrary.org.

Is curbside pickup available?

Yes, curbside pickup is available.

You may schedule an appointment online or by calling (978) 671-0948 ext. 3 once you have been notified a hold is available.

What’s the best way to stay updated on what library is doing?

You can follow us on social media. We regularly post to FacebookTwitter, and Instagram. Teens should visit the YA Facebook and Instagram. We also suggested signing up for our newsletters.

Can I borrow a HotSpot?

Yes! You may borrow a HotSpot from the Library. HotSpots cannot be placed on hold or renewed.

I am interested in learning about Billerica’s history. Is there anything available online or in the library?

We have catalogs of local cemeteries available both online at https://billericaplstg.wpengine.com/local-history/collections/cemeteries/ and in the library. The Library will close at 12:00pm on Wednesday, December 24th, and will remain closed through Thursday, December 25th. Regular hours will resume on Friday, December 26th.
