All Massachusetts residents are eligible for a Boston Public Library E-Card. This card gives you access to an array of online resources available through Boston Public Library.

How to Get A Card

A BPL e-card grants you access to a variety of online resources, including:

Downloading/Streaming

  • Kanopy – Stream additional videos beyond those you can stream through Billerica
  • Overdrive – Access BPL’s Overdrive holdings
  • ComicsPlus – Access a large catalog of electronic comic books and graphic novels

Productivity

  • Linkedin Learning – Access video courses in business, software, technology, and creative skills, taught by recognized industry experts
  • Career Transitions – Provides immediate help for job seekers or career changers with job searches,  resumes, cover letters, interviews, career paths, and finding appropriate educational or training programs

Research

  • Mergent Online – In depth reports on over 30,000 public companies, both U.S. and Global
  • Newspaper Archive – Searchable full-page reproductions of Boston newspapers
  • Obituary Database – An index of obituaries that appeared in the Boston Evening Transcript (BET), Boston Globe (BG) and the Boston Herald/Herald American (BH)
