Guidelines
- This service is being offered to any MVLC patron with an account in good standing. Patrons with questions about eligibility should call 978-671-0948 ext. 3.
- Pickups will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
- Patrons may not request Library of Things for curbside pickup, but may request museum passes.
- Items may be requested by calling or placing holds in the catalog.
- Returns will not be accepted during the curbside pickup transaction. If you have returns, please place returns in the outside book drop before the pickup transaction.
Procedure for Calling to Place Your Hold
- Call the Billerica Public Library at 978-671-0948 ext. 3 and let them know you would like to place some items on hold.
- Staff will ask you for specific titles or you can request a set of items based on a subject.
- Staff will then verify that your requested items are available and pull them aside for you.
- When the items are ready, you will receive a call or email from the library.
- Once you receive notification contact the library to schedule a pickup time. You can either call the library or email curbside@billericalibrary.org with your preferred pickup date and time.
- During your pickup window, go to the designated spaces on the Blanchard Ave side of the library (the side facing the Council on Aging) and call the library to let them know you arrived.
- A staff member will bring the items right out to you.
Procedure for Placing a Catalog Hold
