The March No Club Book Club selection is Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder by Salman Rushdie
“Why now? After all these years…” Salman Rushdie ponders, as an assailant comes rushing towards him with a knife. Rushdie’s story begins as he takes the stage to give a talk about safe spaces for writers. He writes: “That Chautauqua morning I experienced both the worst and the best of human nature simultaneously.” Dedicating this book to the people who saved his life, Rushdie tells a remarkable story of survival and resilience in the face of adversity. Join him on this reflective journey as he recovers from his wounds (emotional and physical) and attempts to understand the attack on his life.
