Did you know that September is Library Card Sign Up Month? Since 1987, libraries across the country have made September the month to reach those in the community without library cards, so that everyone can take advantage of the library’s diverse offerings, including print books, DVDs, museum passes, specialty items, e-resources, and more.
A Great Way to Grow Your Business
This year, we are reaching out to local businesses to expand our efforts and support the local economy by helping drive new customers to Billerica businesses. Our intent is to get businesses to agree to offer a promotion to patrons who show their library cards during the month of September. We will heavily publicize the promotions throughout September via print, social media, and local news outlets, raising our patrons’ awareness of your business and giving them an extra incentive to get a library card and to visit your establishment.
Examples of Discounts
This kind of partnership has been adopted by many neighboring communities. Examples of what business have provided include:
- Complimentary consultation (ex. complementary review of insurance coverage)
- Percentage off of a purchase (ex. 10% off food orders or haircut)
- Free promotional item (ex. free mug or pen)
- Free service with purchase (ex. free appetizer or beverage with purchase)
Partner With Us
To partner with us, please complete the online form below no later than August 28.
The library will create promotional materials, including a laminated sign or decal for your front door or window indicating that you are a participating business, which will be delivered to you before September 1st.
